Our Shared Vision

 

Wild Rose School will be a professional learning community that embraces and nurtures the uniqueness of each individual.

Collaboration among the staff and between the school and community will ensure a creative, warm and safe environment that celebrates individual learning and collective achievement. Students and teachers in the classroom are the heart of the school endeavor.

 

Community Focus: 

  • Our school will maximize both school and community resources and efforts to enhanced learning opportunities for all.
  • Our school will celebrate collective accomplishments and community-school pride.  

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Our school will ensure the communication and collaboration among, students, teachers, parents and other community members. We will consider this as a vital and shared responsibility to ensure continuous assessment, positive feedback, creative problem solving, and school-based improvement. 

Student-Centered Learning Model:

  • Our school will follow a student-centered learning model, providing students with opportunities for involvement in planning learning activities, assignments, and assessments.
  • At our school, individual and group learning activities will offer variety and real-life authenticity, supported by school and community resources to the fullest possible extent.
  • Our school values the right for students to learn and will ensure the freedom, support and clear expectations required to achieve personal excellence.

Climate & Setting:

  • Our school facilities, including buses, will be maintained to ensure clean, comfortable and safe conditions.
  • Our school social climate will be happy, relaxed and caring, with interactions at all levels characterized by mutual respect.
  • Our school will have acceptable behavioral standards that are communicated clearly and applicable to all.

Curriculum & Achievement:

  • Our school will provide all students with a common core curriculum. Student advancement through the curriculum will be based on demonstrating proficiency. There will be close monitoring of each student's proficiency, and adjustments based upon that monitoring.
